LOCK MANDRELS
BPXN Lock Mandrel
Used non-selectively locate and lock into type “XN” landing nipples.
The “BPXN” type lock mandrels utilize various equalizing assemblies depending on the desired application.
Type “BPXN” lock mandrels are typically used in applications where the pressure differential does not exceed 4000 psi, or 28 MpA. The BPXN is capable of higher pressure due to the no-go in the XN nipple.
Applications:
Used with various equalizing assemblies to blank off pressure of production tubing.
Used to deploy check valves, standing valves, or velocity strings in the tubing string.
Used to deploy bottom hole chokes into the tubing string.
Used to deploy or hang bottom hole instruments in the wellbore.
