The mechanical accelerator is placed in the toolstring directly below the rope socket.
The design of the mechanical accelerator allow the force of the jarring load to remain in the toolstring
and the tools below while mitigating stress on the wireline / slickline above the toolstring.

Applications:

The accelerator may used during fishing operations to mitigate damage to the line above the rope socket
while potentially increasing the jarring load on the fish below.
The accelerator may be used in day to day wireline / slickline operations if so desired.
