Spang Jar (Mechanical Link Jar)

Used in applications where there is a need or requirement to administer upward or downward
force via slickline or wireline in a wellbore.
Two opposing links allow travel upwards or downwards to transfer force from the wireline / slickline
toolstring to the tools, or object in the wellbore.

Applications:

Used to apply force to downhole tools that may be stuck or wedged in the wellbore.
Used to manipulate and function mechanical downhole tools to either
set or retrieve subsurface equipment.
Used in conjunction with hydraulic jars to provide a means of dislodging damaged
equipment or obstructions in the wellbore.
