PACK OFF EQUIPMENT
A Pack-Off
The A pack-off is utilized to seal or pack off a tubing string to isolate the wellbore to
preform maintenance operations, or provide a barrier to retain wellbore pressure.
The A Pack off comes standard with an external fishneck, but can be retro fit with a G anchor, or
internal fishneck.
Applications:
The A pack off can be used in conjunction with a G anchor to form a pack off that can be set in the tubing string to retain wellbore pressure, this is typically done in the case when there
are an absence of profile landing nipples in the wellbore, or when these cannot be accessed.
The A pack off can also be ran as a straddle pack off to isolate the tubing string if there is suspected
damage or unwanted communication between the annulus and tubing string.
