Sand Bailer
Sand bailers are typically used to bail or remove loose sand or debris from the wellbore.
Sand bailers typically come with a flapper type valve, or ball check valve to retain the debris inside the bailer as well with a range of shoes in varying sizes and configurations.
Sand bailers typically come with a straight shoe, but are also available with mule shoes, and chisel points.
Applications:
Used to bail or remove sand or loose particulate from the tops of blanking plugs or other downhole equipment.
Used in some instances in conjunction with finger baskets to retrieve rubber or other larger debris from the wellbore.
Used in conjunction with a chisel shoe to break up and remove packed debris from around fishnecks or prongs.
