Instrument Hanger – R-Type
The X-type instrument hanger is utilized under a corresponding size type X lock mandrel to hang bottom hole instruments.
The X-type instrument hanger locks the instruments into a corresponding landing nipple while allowing flow through the ports and up the production spring.
Applications:
Flow test on high production / velocity wellbores.
Utilized to securely attach the instruments when they are ran into the wellbore with the production string.
