G Anchor
The G anchor is used as a tubing stop where upset collars are not available, or incompletions with premium flush connections.
Used to prevent debris from travelling down the tool string, or as an anchor for pack off equipment.
Applications:
Used as a platform to land tubing pack-off equipment on.
Used as a locking or anchoring mechanism for tubing pack-offs, or straddle pack-offs.
Used as a barrier to prevent unwanted tools or debris from travelling down the wellbore or production tubing.
Used as an anchor to prevent sub surface equipment from travelling up the
the wellbore in the event of an equipment malfunction or failure.
