The fingered overshot is utilized when there is a probability of damage to a fishneck, or if there is debris that may hinder the use of a conventional pulling tool with a skirt.

The 6 fingered overshot consists of a body with 6 fingers proportioned  to the size of a standard fishneck.

The fingered overshot latches positively when engaged, meaning there is no shear mechanism, if this is desired then a bait sub should be ran as well.

Gaps between the fingers allow for debris to be displaced so the fingers or dogs may engage the fishneck.

Applications:

The 6 fingered overshot may be used during fishing operations when there may be wire or other debris on top of the fish.

The 6 fingered overshot may also be used when there may be sand, scale or other particulate on top of the fish.
