The bombwell suspends the bottom hole instruments in a tube between two shock absorbing springs, this chamber can also be filled with inhibited fluid in the case of extreme corrosive environments.

Bombwells are available in larger sizes to accommodate deployment beneath wireline retrievable bridge plugs.
