Knuckle Joint
The knuckle joint is used in instances where there may be a requirement for the wireline / slickline
toolstring may have need to articulate to allow for the tools or subsurface equipment to be deployed
into the wellbore.
Applications:
The knuckle joint can be used in deviated wells to allow to the tools string to pivot are reduce
rigidity while travelling into the wellbore.
The knuckle joint may also be used in wellbore that have dog legs, or if the tubing is set in compression
to allow for the toolstring to navigate tubing that may have minor deflections.
