Releasable Overshot
The releasable overshot is used to engage the outside diameter downhole equipment that has become damaged or unretrievable by conventional means.
In addition, each size of overshot comes with a range of slips or grapples.
The releasable overshot has a built in shear mechanism that allow for the release of the slips or grapple and thus eliminating the need for baiting of downhole equipment.
Applications:
The releasable overshot can be used in virtually all applications that a conventional non releasable positive overshot can be used.
The releasable overshot can be utilized to retrieve lost to damaged wireline equipment, completion accessories, artificial lift equipment, or virtually any other debris that is able to to be engaged on the outside diameter by the slips of the releasable overshot.
