EQUALIZING ASSEMBLIES
BR Equalizing Assembly
Used in conjunction with a “R / RN” lock mandrel to hold differential pressure from above or below the plug assembly in the wellbore.
The R equalizing assembly is typically used in higher pressure scenarios as the lock mandrels and equalizing assemblies are designed to facilitate higher working pressures.
Applications:
Used during routine maintenance of the wellbore, typically to suspend production, or preform maintenance on the wellbore.
Used to blank the production tubing off during the installation of workover BOP’s.
Used to suspend production from one formation to produce from another.
Used to retrieve tubing from the wellbore during snubbing operations.
