X/R Checkset Tool
The X/R type checkset tool provides a means of identifing if a particular X / R type lock has properly been set into a profile of the corresponding size.
The X/R type check set tool has a pin that will shear of the fishneck of the lock mandrel is completely colapsed, this is accomplished by simpey locating the lock with the checkset tool, and lightly jarring down.
Should the pin not be sheard or unmarked once retrieved, it would be an indication that the lock mandrel is incorrectly set.
