Used selectively locate and lock into type “R” landing nipples.

The “BPRI” type lock mandrel has an integral collet that aids in locking the fishneck in place, this helps prevent, or mitigate the chances of a premature release of the lock mandrel from the profile nipple.

Type “BPRI” lock mandrels are typically used in applications where the pressure does not exceed 10 000 psi, or 70 MpA.

Applications:

Used with various equalizing assemblies to blank off pressure of production tubing.

Used to deploy check valves, standing valves, or velocity strings in the tubing string.

Used to deploy safety valves into the tubing string.

Used to deploy or hang bottom hole instruments in the wellbore.
