GR / GU Adapter
The GR / GU Adapter is designed to adapt a conventional jar down to shear GS type pulling tool to a jar up to shear pulling tool.
The shear pin must be removed from the GS type pulling tool and a shear pin installed into GR / GU adapter to make the conversion complete.
Applications:
The GR / GU adapter is utilized to pull tools such as bottom hole chokes, lock mandrels, junk catchers, or bait subs that have debris in around the fishing neck which may hinder the shearing process of a conventions jar down GS type pulling tool.
The GR / GU adapter may also be used when there is a need to jar down on a sub surface tool which would ultimately shear a conventional GS type pulling tool.
